Field Mill is Home of Mansfield Town (The Stags). Mansfield Town’s biggest game in 20 years ended in a 2-0 win to Middlesbrough. This game was live on the BBC 1. The Goals were scored by Lee and an own goal by Mansfield’s Buxton. Mansfield Town have spent £6.5m on re-development of 3-sides of the ground (Excluding the demolition of the Bishop Road stand). The North stand (Away supporters only) and Quarry Lane End which are situated between each goal are almost identical single tiered stands. After those two re-developments, work started on the West stand which is a two tiered stand which was opened in February 2001. Mansfield Town cannot fill Field Mill because of their low status and also "bad stewarding" so the capacity had to be decreased.
